Finally found some time to go and take some photo's this week. I felt guilty looking through my one-a-week album from 2010, and I will need to justify my financial expenditure on a new zoom lens come January. These were all taken close to Dundalk, and I didn't spend much time at all playing with settings. As always, each photo is taken using manual focus, manual settings and edited using Adobe Lightroom 3.

I knew when I took this photo that it was going to turn out to be my favorite. The cloudy day meant the light was perfect for getting creative. I'm always cautious about over-editing, or using presets in Lightroom, but I really like this outcome. Unfortunately, there are a few dust spots in the sky I forgot to clean up.
This graffiti was on the side of an old castle, King John's I think it was, whoever he is. Graffiti is a really easy subject to get creative with and there is very little editing. This only took a few minutes to finish. On the day, I tried to take a shot of the castle from further away so you could see the modern day graffiti contrasted with the traditional castle silhouette but the effect was lost. Something for me to work on.

Thanks to everyone, friends and strangers, who have visited my wee photo log. I've had 1,000 views in a short period of time, which is really encouraging. If there are any questions about my camera settings or how I've edited specific photo's, don't hesitate to contact me or post a comment below.
